How To Choose A Contractor

The task of choosing a contractor is a tedious one. One feels compelled to get various opinions and prices only to oft times end up in the state of confusion.. This can lead to one of the following

  1. You choose the wrong contractor and don't get what you want
  2. You don't choose any contractor because you're overwhelmed.

The later may save you some money but it still doesn't get you what you want. Relax. Take your time. Before contacting a contractor think about what you are trying to accomplish. Have a good idea of what you want before the contractor gets there. Sketch it out too. It doesn’t have to be to scale, but remember the adage that says a picture is worth a thousand words. The idea is to have a rough idea which you refine into your dream with the help of the contractor. There is no substitute for good planning.
